Why I’m Running

As a parent with four students who will graduate in the next 6 years, I am fully invested in creating the best possible experiences and opportunities for my kids, my nieces – also in ISD 196 – and my neighbors.

As a taxpayer who happens to work in healthcare innovation, I know that we must work together to reduce costs of delivering services. We are doing great – and we must be willing to ask questions about everything.

As a former board member from another large district in Minnesota, I am aware that we are passing through challenging times both as a nation and in our educational system.

Despite being an incoming challenger facing 3 incumbents, I have recent, relevant experience from another school board in diverse community in Minnesota

If I am successful in gaining election, I will commit immediately to greater communication and transparency to everyone across our communities of the important work we do together.

We must work together to build on our success while we integrate new ideas and innovation. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stated “If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values – that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control.” I look forward to the opportunity to serve for my family, for my neighbors, and our community.
